ABOUT OUR JEWELRY

We favor Murano glass beads, Swarovski crystal, and furnace (cane) glass, which we assemble into simple, elegant bracelets, necklaces, and earrings using high quality sterling silver findings. All of the work is done by hand, and it is unusual to find any two pieces exactly alike because of the large number of beads in our inventory and our desire to create things that are fresh and new, rather than mass-producing them.

Some of the beads used in our jewelry are imported from the Czech Republic, one of the world's largest producers of high quality glass beads. Many feature the fire-polished aurora borealis (AB) finish Czech beads are known for, giving them a wonderful glitzy look. Others are manufactured using pressed glass bead molds, producing adorable shapes (see some of our children's items and our fish jewelry). Most of these bead products feature goldtone or silvertone findings, giving you an unusual item at a reasonable price.

We have a wide variety of child-size bracelets that feature tiny glass creature beads - cats, monkeys, turtles, ladybugs, butterflies, etc. We make these bracelets suitable for tiny wrists and add an extender chain so they grow with the child. (Please note that we do not recommend that beads be worn by those three and under or those who might place them in the mouth.)
