Absolutely fantastic apartment, perfect location for sea front promenade, stunning gardens on doorstep, brilliant supermarket 2 blocks away. Enjoyed stroll through municipal gardens to cobbled streets lined with restaurants to suit all tastes, all reasonably priced...with generous portions. Old town also only a gentle stroll away either along main shopping area or along sea front. Bus stops also handy...we used the local giro top up card for a trips in advance, really easy to use, & saves trying to find correct change, office on sea front. Certainly a 10/10 from us. Thanks Lorraine our brilliant host.

Apartment Arriaga is simply outstanding in every way. All the amenities you need, very clean, modern, and an unbeatable location. It is perfect for a couple. If you want to climb steep hills you can from the apartment, but this apartment is about on sea level and a beautiful garden is just outside. It is very close to grocery and other stores. It is about a 15 minute walk to the oldest section of the city, but right outside the door are numerous buildings and streets of interest. Lorraine is an outstanding hostess.

A beautiful gem in the heart of Funchal
Ideally located & beautifully furnished this apartment has everything you could wish for, & lots of extras besides. The welcome pack is extensive & appreciated. I really liked staying at Lorraine's and Peter's Apartment. It has everything you need during a stay in Funchal. In the apartment typical Madeiran food is waiting for you. :) The location is quite central and you will reach each and every single place in Funchal easily. The view into the park in front of the building is very nice. I will always stay at this apartment during my future Funchal trips. Thank you guys!

Grear apartment, great host
Right in the middle of Funchal this apartment is located. It has a big and comfortable bed, a nice bath and a living room with enough space to eat and relax. Lorraine, the host, had some presents for us so we had a nice breakfast and an easy start of our holidays. Lots of love, we hope to come back one day

LUXURY LIVING ON THE PARK PERIPHERY
Overlookiing the Municipal Gardens and close to Funchal's grand Victoian theatre, the 4th floor Appartment Arriaga proved to be a perfect venue for our two week stay in beautiful and bountiful Madeira. Apart from the high quality inventory which included multi-channel TV and weekly service. my wife and I found several excellent restaurants just across the square at the rear of the block. We mainly used public transport - both the SAM and Urban bus stops are within a couple of hundred metres. As the weather was so benig, most mornings we frequented "Cafe Concerto", the charming green painted kiosk in the gardens. Sitting in the shade of the tropical trees, we found the service remarkably swift and the prices reasonable. Our hostess at Apartment Arriaga, Lorraine Biegley, was most kind and helpful and even offered us alternative accommodation had it been necessary at the end of our booking. We were 'Monarch' victims. We are already planning a return visit and cannot praise highly enough our luxury living on the park periphery. Peter and Vicky Harwood October 2017

A complete apartment in the center of Funchal. Close to everything including public transport and restaurants, coffeshops, supermarket and musea. It might be noisy in the nighttime during the weekend, but with the windows closed it is OK. The kitchen has everything to prepare your own meals. We stayed for a fortnight and enjoyed it very much.The landlady looks very well after the apartment and it is very clean, in the fridge already some food, in the bowl some fruit and next to it a small bottle of Madeira wine: a warm welcome. Lorraine is friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. It is an excellent place to spent some time in Funchal.

Wonderful location ,convenient , very well equiped
One could not ask for a better location or such a convenient place to stay in the center of town . Grocery shop around the corner and local shops and restaurants . Easy walking distance to the centeral market and all the sight in the town . Apartment was very nice and clean with all the things you would need including basic food and stuff to get one started . They provided milk, tea , coffee ,salt , pepper ,margarine juice bread and some fruit to get you started .Kitchen had a full working oven as well as a microwave. Five appliances including a washer and dyer in one .Highly recommend .

Great apartment and host
Lorraine and Peter were very welcoming and even provided us with some essentials, very useful for a Xmas Eve arrival! We could not fault the apartment and wanted for nothing. It is spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable and great to relax in after a day's sightseeing. We like to be central when in staying in new places and this hits the brief exactly. It's so convenient to have a huge selection of places to eat, see and shop, and only 2mins walk from the promenade. We highly recommend staying and Lorraine as a host and would love to come back.

Perfect stay in Funchal
Location and amenities are perfect at this apartment to enjoy a stay on the island Madeira. But the best of all is the host Lorraine, who filled the fridge for us before we came. We found also a bottle of wine, beer, and all you need for booking like oil, Salt pepper, things you need but only a little. My question where to buy good eggs was answered with 10 eggs the next day. So great and kind. Definitely can only recommend this apartment.

Great holiday accommodation spot. Centrally located, but quiet. Very well furnished, and as clean as could be. Well equiped for all the 'in-house' meal preparation you could want. The frequency of repeat business from satisfied occupants, combined with the charms of this beautiful island, must be very high. I just hope you have availability the next time I want accommodation in this locality.
